The Ship

Earl of Pembroke is one of very few large wooden sailing vessels still in operation. Built in 1945 in Sweden she was constructed using those quickly disappearing techniques and skills that we are trying to preserve. No heavy machinery or computers were involved in the making of this beautiful vessel.

Today she is rigged as three masted barque resembling the famous Endeavour on board of which captain Cook discovered Australia back in 1770.

Sail Training

As mentioned above we are passionate about preserving all those skills that are necessary to survival of these magnificent vessels as well as the art of sailing itself. We are always looking for volunteers, passengers, trainees or any other private or corporate clients.

We can promise one thing… No matter what capacity or how long you will join us for, you will surely leave with some exciting new knowledge and life enriching experiences under your belt!

Longer voyages will not only improve your sailing skills. From carpentry to teamwork you may have a chance to learn and improve a wide range of skills. You will quickly realise that team work is at heart of sailing and leadership is one key skill that will be required on a daily basis (whether you like it or not)!

For more details please go to relevant section of our site.

We welcome all enquiries!

Unlike some other vessels we are open to all private and corporate opportunities. You can hire the ship with its crew for an afternoon or a month. From pirate themed birthday parties to Hollywood film productions and anything in between. We are interested!

We promise to approach all enquiries with full professionalism.

EOP is a real, working, wooden barque. You will not see super yacht gadgets here, she has the looks and she shows her age the way she should. Thanks to our relentless efforts and tonnes of money spent she is as sturdy as best vessels in her class while staying true to her heritage!

There are very few (if any) ships better suited for festivals appearances. The classic lines, pirate like looks, authentic wood and that unforgettable salty smell. It is for vessels such as EOP that the festivals are worth visiting!

Festival hopping is one of the best ways of traveling. We will have this in mind when creating packages for you.

We would like to invite all festival organisers to get in touch with opportunities.
